Refuse Fascism’s Fiscal Sponsor Targeted in Multi-State Investigation Over Terror-Funding Allegations

The Alliance for Global Justice’s Money Trail — From Donor Platforms to Domestic Unrest

A radical protest network with a history of violence is preparing to lay siege to Washington, D.C. on November 5 — and it’s being quietly bankrolled by a nonprofit accused of funneling money to foreign terrorist groups. This isn’t activism. It’s domestic subversion, funded through tax-deductible donations.

Backed by a nonprofit under federal scrutiny for alleged terror-funding ties, the group promises “sustained occupation” of the White House, Capitol, and Supreme Court—threatening to trap commuters, tourists, and families in a storm of civil disruption that could dwarf anything the city has seen in years.

Sirens echoed as demonstrators from Refuse Fascism brought rush-hour traffic to a halt on a Los Angeles freeway in 2017 — a dramatic civil-disobedience move meant to draw attention to the Trump/Pence regime. Authorities later acknowledged the group’s actions tied into a major freeway fellowship case.

Chaos erupted at UC Berkeley as protests swelled when a scheduled speech by a right-wing provocateur was cancelled after masked counter-demonstrators clashed with police, smashed barricades and deployed fireworks and projectiles.

Now, on November 5, 2025, the one-year mark of President Donald Trump’s reelection, the same coalition vows to flood the nation’s capital, surround the White House, Capitol and Supreme Court, and refuse to leave until the administration collapses.

Backed by its fiscal sponsor the Alliance for Global Justice — which scholars and watchdogs say has deep ties to the Samidoun network, recently designated by the U.S. and Canada as a terrorist-entity front — Refuse Fascism has carried out high-visibility urban disruptions, including freeway stand-offs and protests in major cities.

Their playbook includes freeway blockades that block traffic, protests on campus aimed at shutting down speakers and events, and plans to occupy public spaces until demands are met — raising concerns about public-safety impacts and the potential for significant economic disruption.

In January 2017, protests erupted nationwide following the inauguration of President Trump — from Washington, D.C. to coastal cities — involving clashes with police, tear gas and arrests, signaling the arrival of a new era of organized resistance.

In the years following, protests at Berkeley and other campuses continued— with masked demonstrators hurling concrete at officers, setting blazes that closed major arteries and stranded commuters for hours, costing taxpayers $100,000 in cleanup and response.

A 2020 Capital Research Center report detailed Los Angeles blockades during rush hour that delayed 911 responses and Chicago building seizures that locked residents inside their homes, proving the tactics prioritize disruption over human safety every time.

Officials in Washington, D.C. are closely monitoring the November 5 mobilization after internal assessments flagged the potential for multi-state convergence, prolonged encampments and clashes with opposing groups or law enforcement — raising the possibility of significant civil disturbance.

Law enforcement briefings paint a volatile picture for November 5, warning of intelligence on bus caravans from 20 states converging on D.C., where protesters plan “sustained encirclement” that could spark brawls with Trump supporters or federal agents.

Families heading to work, tourists snapping photos at monuments and District shop owners could find themselves caught in blockades snarling traffic for days, echoing the 2017 Berkeley clash that left 11 officers injured and streets littered with debris.

Refuse Fascism bills itself as a unifying anti-fascist front, rallying liberals, scholars and activists against Trump policies on borders, media and military use through what its website calls “relentless nonviolent protest” to spark a political crisis.

Solidarity with immigrants, LGBTQ+ communities and people of color anchors its message, while it dismisses elections as corrupted tools of the regime.

Behind the banner, however, stands the Revolutionary Communist Party’s iron framework.

Money flows through the Alliance for Global Justice, a Tucson-based 501(c)(3) that pocketed $6.71 million in 2023, including over $20 million from Open Society Foundations since 2003.

Refuse Fascism operates as an unincorporated AFGJ project, accepting tax-deductible donations via Patreon and Action Network without separate IRS filings, limiting transparency

The Ties to Domestic Terrorism: Refuse Fascism’s Fiscal Sponsor and Terror Funding Allegations.

The most scandalous controversy surrounding Refuse Fascism revolves around its financial lifeline — the Alliance for Global Justice, its fiscal sponsor — which has faced multiple state and federal investigations for allegedly channeling funds to U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organizations, including the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

This arrangement allows Refuse Fascism to operate as an unincorporated project under AFGJ’s 501(c)(3) tax-exempt umbrella, receiving donations that are tax-deductible while shielding the group from independent IRS scrutiny.

Critics, including attorneys general from Texas, Florida and four other states, argue this setup enables indirect support for extremism, with AFGJ’s grants and fundraising campaigns linked to groups like Samidoun, an arm of the PFLP banned in Israel and accused of glorifying attacks on civilians.

The scandal erupted publicly in early 2025 amid heightened U.S. scrutiny of pro-Palestinian activism during the Gaza conflict, casting Refuse Fascism not as a mere protest outfit but as a cog in a broader network potentially violating federal anti-terrorism laws like 18 U.S.C. § 2339B, which prohibits material support for FTOs.

AFGJ, based in Tucson, Arizona, reported $6.71 million in revenue for fiscal year 2023, much of it from progressive donors including Open Society Foundations (over $20 million since 2003).

It sponsors more than 70 projects, including Refuse Fascism, without requiring separate financial disclosures, folding all activity into its own Form 990 filings.

Controversy peaked in March 2024, when U.S. Treasury sanctioned Samidoun for PFLP ties — a Marxist-Leninist group behind suicide bombings and rocket attacks killing hundreds of Israeli civilians since the 1970s — prompting calls for AG probes into AFGJ.”

AFGJ had solicited donations for Samidoun’s “bail funds” and hosted events promoting PFLP leaders, prompting accusations of laundering charitable contributions into terrorist aid.

By June 2025, the U.S. Treasury expanded sanctions on AFGJ-linked Venezuelan groups for similar FTO support, amplifying calls for IRS revocation of its nonprofit status.

Refuse Fascism’s defenders, including co-founder Sunsara Taylor, dismiss the links as guilt by association, insisting AFGJ’s “solidarity work” is humanitarian and that the group’s own nonviolent protests — such as the planned November 5, 2025, D.C. mobilization — remain untainted.

Yet the optics are damning: Refuse Fascism’s operations, from Action Network text blasts to Patreon drives pulling in $60,000 annually, rely on AFGJ’s infrastructure. Internal AFGJ documents, leaked in a 2025 Capital Research Center report, show $150,000+ in 2024 grants to radical organizing hubs like the Center for Nu Leadership and the People’s Forum, which have shared stages with Refuse Fascism at anti-Trump rallies.

This has fueled bipartisan backlash, with even some Democratic lawmakers questioning the ethics of tax breaks for groups adjacent to terror sympathizers.

The scandal’s gravity lies in its implications for everyday donors: Contributions intended for “anti-fascist” street actions may unwittingly bolster international militancy, eroding public trust in progressive nonprofits. As of November 3, 2025, ongoing federal audits into AFGJ’s compliance could force Refuse Fascism to seek new sponsorship or go dark, but no charges have been filed against the group directly.

Still, the controversy underscores a deeper hypocrisy — an organization decrying “fascist regimes” abroad while entangled with entities accused of enabling violence at home.

AFGJ records show over $50,000 funneled to Refuse Fascism since 2017, while parallel projects like Stop Mass Incarceration Network amplify the noise. In 2025, amid Gaza flares, Refuse Fascism speakers shared platforms at AFGJ events praising PFLP figures, blending domestic fury with global militancy and prompting the Anti-Defamation League to demand IRS probes into campus violence ties.

Donors answering pleas for humanity may unknowingly bankroll bail for militants, as AFGJ raised $200,000 for Samidoun during PFLP barrages.

The pace quickens toward collision.

August 2025 saw Refuse Fascism marchers clash with D.C. police over National Guard call-ups, blocking Pennsylvania Avenue and sparking a melee that injured three bystanders.

September rallies outside ABC studios drowned out streets with “regime fall” chants, trapping school buses in chaos.

October brought U.S. Open evacuations from organized disruptions that cost $500,000 in security.

As of November 4, 2025, X feeds and podcasts detail caravan routes and encirclement drills, earning D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s label as a “clear and present danger.”

Refuse Fascism surges forward on a communist engine, terror-tainted cash and a vow to break the system through unrelenting street war.

November 5 dawns as its boldest gamble yet — a provocation that could torch the capital in the flames it claims to extinguish, all on the dime of donors kept in the dark.

In the charged air before the storm, one truth cuts through the chants and sirens: a movement that mirrors the chaos it condemns invites the very crackdown it fears.

What’s unfolding in Washington isn’t just about one radical group — it’s a test of how far the nonprofit loophole can be pushed before it collapses. When charitable networks can move millions under the label of “justice” while financing chaos, every American becomes collateral damage.

Tomorrow’s streets will test whether disruption breeds liberty or merely more chains. This is Consumer Diligence. The watch never ends.
